About Me - The Man -
The Child of God
I pray for everyone to
be assembled and brought before God as believers. I pray that all of
those I meet and know will be blessed with the knowledge of Christ Jesus as
their salvation.
Hello my name is Dennis Quick,
known to most as 'Poppi' and I did live in Kansas City, MO for the last 30+ years
before moving back to my hometown. I grew up in Bradford,
Pennsylvania, a beautiful little city in the northwest corner of the state,
famous for Zippo Lighters, Case Knives and being the home of Kendall Oil.
I am a Vietnam Vet and love this
country with all my heart. I would like to say, while I truly
appreciate the recent gestures of "Welcome Home", I need to say 'I came home 40 years ago'
and have lived a great deal of my life in a state of trauma due to the initial
perceptions and treatment by 'our citizens' about the war in which we were
involved. I am not angry but I am disappointed that so many of us
lived our lives with that stigma over our heads. At the same time, I
am very proud of our young troops and the work they are doing. I
support their efforts and am pleased they are welcomed home when they
return.
I am an American
Christian Veteran and I pray daily for the health and well being of all
those I love and care about. I also pray for the strength and
knowledge to guide me through my daily life in order to do God's will.
I pray for the health of this country and our military personal. I
pray for our leaders (both Republican and Democrat) to make the correct
choices for our future and the future of the young.
I am a member of Cycle Disciples
Kansas City Motorcycle Club. We are a Christian group and we minister
to bikers as well as others. Check the website at
www.cycledisciples.org for more
information about the club. We are part of the fund raising effort
known as "Bikers with a Mission" (BWAM) that is held every year on the first
Sunday of May. The event supports the City Union Mission and has
continued for 22 years.
